health tracking program week

CDC is sponsoring the second annual National Environmental Public Health Tracking Program Week (Tracking Week) during July 10-14, 2017. CDC, state and local health departments, and national partners are coming together to highlight environmental health issues important to improving the health of our nation and to recognize the work of the Tracking Program. Daily topics relate to this year’s theme: Beyond Data.

Learn how the Tracking Network goes “Beyond Data” to enact public health change across the United States and help us raise awareness and celebrate all week long!

  • Monday: Children’s Environmental Health
  • Tuesday: Asthma
  • Wednesday: Extreme Heat
  • Thursday: Radon
  • Friday: Chronic Disease

CDC’s Environmental Public Health Tracking Network is a dynamic surveillance system that provides information and data about environmental hazards and the health problems that may be related to them. It presents what we know about where environmental hazards exist, where exposures happen, and how targeted action can protect health, reduce illness, and save lives. The Tracking Network is a unique resource that brings together environmental and health information that cannot be found, or is hard to find, anywhere else.
To learn more about the Tracking Program and to join the Tracking Week conversation, follow the hashtag #BeyondData on Facebook and Twitter. And, join us for the Beyond Data Twitter Chat on July, 13th from 2-3pm ET. Use the hashtag #BeyondData.
