Dr. Karen Neil

Karen Neil is an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer in the Enteric Diseases Epidemiology Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA. Her work includes investigation of national and international foodborne disease outbreaks. Before working at CDC, Dr. Neil served in the U.S. Air Force as a general pediatrician, where she also helped coordinate mass casualty preparedness and response activities and was involved in graduate medical education. Dr. Neil completed her MD at Baylor College of Medicine, her residency training in Pediatrics at Wilford Hall Medical Center, and her Masters of Science in Public Health in Epidemiology at Emory University Rollins School of Public Health. She is also a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, with a B.A. in Behavioral Biology.
